Tessera Coffee Table, front view, with a black marble top and four patina brass legs

Tessera Coffee Table, low side view of the black marble top with curved corner cut-outs and brass legs

Tessera Coffee Table

The Tessera Coffee Table is made like a puzzle. A broad black marble top has its four corners cut away in soft curves, and a sculpted brass leg fits into each one, flush with the edge of the stone. The legs are folded into gentle waves, so the table changes as you move around it. Fine white veining runs across the dark marble, and the patina brass picks up the warmth of the room. Low and wide, it sits at the centre of a sofa group and leaves plenty of room for books, flowers and objects. It suits a living room, a lounge or a hotel lobby, and it reads as a sculpture from above as much as from the side.
