Giunto Coffee Table

The Giunto Coffee Table is made of two square walnut slabs, one resting above the other. Each edge is cut in a stepped pattern of notches, so the top and base read like a joint pulled slightly apart, with a dark recessed core and a line of shadow between them. The grain of the American walnut runs unbroken across the top and shows deep and warm in the cut edges. Low and square, it sits at the centre of a sofa group and leaves plenty of room for books, flowers and objects. It suits a living room, a library or a hotel lounge, and it looks as considered from above as it does from the side.
